I. Overseas Market News
In 2026, China's new energy vehicle (NEV) global expansion has entered Phase 2.0. Its core feature is the shift from a single complete vehicle trade model to a three-in-depth strategy of "localized production, industrial chain collaboration, and service ecosystem export".
In 2025, China’s NEV exports surged to 3.43 million units, a year-on-year increase of 70%. Leading companies including BYD and SAIC Motor not only sell vehicles to overseas consumers but also build production bases in Hungary, Brazil, Thailand and other countries. Battery suppliers such as CATL have established overseas factories, while Huawei and Momenta provide intelligent driving solutions, forming a strong industrial cluster effect.
NIO is accelerating the deployment of battery swap stations in Europe. Xpeng and Leapmotor have rapidly established marketing and after-sales networks through partnerships with local giants such as Stellantis, building long-term competitive barriers in local markets.( 36Kr Global)
